Dahye attended the police on the 18th, 13 days after the drunk driving accident, and returned home after being interrogated for about 4 hours. Yongsan Police Station in Seoul summoned Da-hye this afternoon and investigated her as a suspect on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
On the same day, about 4 hours and 10 minutes after the investigation, at around 5:54 p.m., Da-hye came out of the police station and bowed her head. As a result of the police breathalyzer test, Dahye’s blood alcohol content was found to be 0.149%, which is at the level of license revocation (0.08% or higher). It is known that the taxi driver suffered minor injuries, but did not submit an injury medical certificate to the police after reaching an agreement with Da-hye. In this situation, suspicions arose that Dahye was running an illegal lodging business in Jeju. Jeju City announced on the 19th that it had requested an investigation by the Jeju Autonomous Police after a complaint was filed through Kookmin Newspaper that an unreported illegal lodging business was being conducted in a single-family home owned by Da-hye in Hyeopjae-ri, Hallim-eup.
Believing that the house in question may have been operating as a lodging business without being registered as a rural bed and breakfast business, the city requested an investigation early last month to confirm the facts.
Jeju City is currently unable to determine the authenticity of the illegal lodging business, so it is difficult to reveal details, and the Jeju Autonomous Police Force is also not commenting in further detail, saying it is an ongoing investigation.
