It was only a month or so ago that a comment saying, ‘Cheer up, Dahye, too,’ was posted in response to the prosecution’s search and seizure of the home of former President Moon Jae-in’s former son-in-law, Mr. Seo, in connection with the ‘suspicion of preferential hiring of Thai Star Jet.’ In a social networking service (SNS) post, Da-hye laments that having her house searched and confiscated even though she is not a ‘criminal’ is difficult to calm down and takes a long time.

In a post on the 12th of last month on a SNS account known to be run by Da-hye, he said, “I felt a flood of unexplainable reluctance and shame, and I was embarrassed,” and “When I searched for a few hours, I masturbated and said it was okay because there was nothing to be ashamed of. “After it was over and they went back, that was the beginning,” he said, revealing his broken heart.

The poetic expression that the chest of drawers that was subject to search and seizure seemed to be making a ‘clattering’ sound, and although it was not adopted as evidence, the part where he wanted to throw away all the ‘things he loved’ after the prosecution’s hands, how desperate it must have been. It also made me guess.

Da-hye’s decisive expression, which said that these were just words that deserve to be trampled and tainted by the prosecution aimed at pointing a knife at former President Moon, was met with comments such as ‘I hope you will be strong and hold on well’ and ‘Please do not break down and hold on to your heart’. Netizens presumed to be supporters of the Democratic Party continued to cheer.

The tone of the comments on Da-hye’s post, which said, ‘I decided to write because I couldn’t bear it any longer,’ changed from ‘warm support’ to cold criticism after the news that she had been caught for drunk driving was reported in the media.

One netizen left a comment as if it were absurd, asking, “Did you drink and drive because you couldn’t stand it anymore?” Another netizen also asked, “So did you drink and drive?” In addition, sharp comments were repeatedly poured into Da-hye’s post, such as ‘You’re painting an

His drunk driving runs counter to former President Moon’s criticism that ‘drunken driving = murder’ during his time in office, and in a situation where he aroused sympathy from the public with his emotional appeal regarding search and seizure, it was Dahye, the ‘former president’s daughter’, who actually committed an act that went against justice. It was interpreted as criticism that Mr.

Dahye attended the police on the 18th, 13 days after the drunk driving accident, and returned home after being interrogated for about 4 hours. Yongsan Police Station in Seoul summoned Da-hye this afternoon and investigated her as a suspect on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).

On the same day, about 4 hours and 10 minutes after the investigation, at around 5:54 p.m., Da-hye came out of the police station and bowed her head. When asked by reporters about her position, Da-hye covered her face as if in tears and said, “I’m sorry.” In response to reporters’ questions such as ‘Have you been investigated for violating other traffic laws?’ and ‘How did you end up drinking and driving?’, he simply answered “I’m sorry” and left in the white car he had used when coming to the police station.

The police investigated Da-hye about drunk driving, violation of traffic laws such as illegal parking and violation of traffic lights, presence of companions, and history of non-payment of fines, and it was found that Da-hye admitted to most of the charges.

Da-hye also issued a statement titled ‘Apology’ to reporters.

In his statement, he said, “I deeply apologize to everyone,” and bowed his head, saying, “I made a big mistake that should not have been made.” He added, “I am deeply reflecting on the fact that I drank so much and drove and caused an accident,” and added, “I will live my life reflecting on myself so that you will never have to worry again.”

He also said, “I sincerely apologize once again to the (taxi) driver and his family who suffered damage due to my mistake,” and added, “Thanks to the driver’s report, I think I was able to stop driving and avoid a bigger accident.” For this reason, Da-hye said, “I am truly grateful to the driver,” and added, “I am also grateful that he accepted my apology after the accident.”

According to the police, Dahye was driving in front of the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu around 2:51 a.m. on the 5th when she changed lanes and collided with a taxi that was following her. The closed-circuit (CCTV) video at the time of the accident showed Da-hye attempting to change lanes without turning on the turn signal, and appearing to shake off the arm of the police officer who grabbed her sleeve while walking with the police officer.

As a result of the police breathalyzer test, Dahye’s blood alcohol content was found to be 0.149%, which is at the level of license revocation (0.08% or higher). It is known that the taxi driver suffered minor injuries, but did not submit an injury medical certificate to the police after reaching an agreement with Da-hye. If the victim driver does not submit an injury medical certificate, it is highly likely that Da-hye will only be punished for drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act, not for violating the Special Act on Traffic Accidents.

It is also reported that Da-hye, through her lawyer, delivered a handwritten letter to the victim driver saying, “I was not in a position to say sorry at the time of the accident,” and said, “I am sorry.”

In this situation, suspicions arose that Dahye was running an illegal lodging business in Jeju. Jeju City announced on the 19th that it had requested an investigation by the Jeju Autonomous Police after a complaint was filed through Kookmin Newspaper that an unreported illegal lodging business was being conducted in a single-family home owned by Da-hye in Hyeopjae-ri, Hallim-eup.

Believing that the house in question may have been operating as a lodging business without being registered as a rural bed and breakfast business, the city requested an investigation early last month to confirm the facts.

Jeju City is currently unable to determine the authenticity of the illegal lodging business, so it is difficult to reveal details, and the Jeju Autonomous Police Force is also not commenting in further detail, saying it is an ongoing investigation.

Former President Moon, who has maintained ‘silence’ by not making a clear statement on Da-hye’s drunk driving, recently posted a message on the bulletin board of the Pyeongsan Bookstore application, where he is the bookstore manager, expressing his happiness over novelist Han Kang winning the Nobel Prize in Literature. there is.

In a post on the 18th announcing the arrival of some of an author’s books, former President Moon said that there are many local bookstores where an author’s books are ‘rice cakes,’ and appealed for the need to provide priority supply to local bookstores across the country.
