The National Road Company (CNAIR) inaugurates a new highway section. For many Romanians, the road to the sea will be faster, from now on.
The National Road Infrastructure Administration Company is inaugurating a very important road junction.
It connects the Bucharest highway (A0) and the Soarelui highway (A2), which will make the road to the sea much faster.
The road to the sea will be faster
This road junction will allow many Romanians, coming from DN 4, to go directly on the highway until they reach the coast.
Thus, the road to the sea will be faster and easier for those coming from the southern area of Bucharest.
It is the second road junction between two highways, in the Bucharest-Ilfov region.
Another 10 km from the Bucharest highway, open to traffic
With the inauguration of this road junction, the Bucharest Motorway will have another 10 kilometers that will be put into circulation.
The new section of A0 is part of lot 1, Glina – Vidra.
„The asphalt that had to be poured on this lot is done. Work is underway on the last installation area of the metal parapet, as there will be 6 traffic lanes here on the A2, to ensure the connection with the A0 shoulder. The protective nets are also installed, and the sound-absorbing panels are to be installed“, stated the state secretary in the Ministry of Transport, Ionel Scrioşteanu, on his Facebook page.
Traffic on Lot 2 Sud Vidra – Bragadiru between the intersections with DN6 and DN5 was opened in 2023. In April this year, a 7 km section of Lot 1 was also opened, which continues the link to the intersection of A0 and DN4.
The official also posted a clip on his Facebook page showing what the junction between the A0 and DN4 looks like. It also covers the 10 kilometer route, up to the A2.
Then, finally, you can also see what the road junction looks like between Autostrada Bucuresti and Autostrada Soarelui.
