It was a perfectly prepared scene that was strongly reminiscent of the moments from January 20 of this year, when Slovak skier Petra Vlhová fell and seriously injured herself in Jasná. Ten months later, something similar happened to Mikaela Shiffrin on her home track in Killington.

Mikaela Shiffrin was taken off the slope more than ten minutes after the fall by a rescue sled.
The American favorite dominated the first round of the giant slalom and with the green intermediate times, she rushed towards the historic 100th victory in the World Cup on the final slope. But one moment turned everything upside down.

New information about Shiffrin’s possible injury, or its extent, is currently unknown. So, it is not known whether the American will present herself in Sunday’s slalom in Killington.
