Proud of its creation, Xiaomi showed us for the first time in July the Mix Flip model and a week later, a company executive from China said the foldable is slated for a global launch. Now there is confirmation of this directly from the CEO of Xiaomi.
Lei Jun posted on X that the Mix Flip will be available worldwide from September, he didn’t give an exact date, but it’s not long until we close our month, so we won’t have to wait more than a week or two.
The post is a response to a poll Lei Jun took a few days after Mix was released. The results from that poll were overwhelmingly positive with nearly 80% of voters excited to have Mix Flip available in their area.
There are no confirmed details on the price yet, but we hear it will be at €1,300 in Central and Eastern Europe (about $1,400). Of course, this is based on what a regional manager said in July, so plans may have changed.
Lei Jun shared some details about what it took to build the company’s first foldable foldable:
