‘Fuel BMWs will have the same new design as electric ones’

Under the name Neue Klasse, BMW is creating a new generation of electric cars, which we have already seen in the form of the Vision Neue Klasse and Vision Neue Klasse X. It is clear that BMW is taking a completely different design direction. A design language where minimalism is more important, with a touch of classical influences. If you are a fan of that, then BMW’s design CEO Adrian van Hooydonk has good news for you. He promises to the British Top Gear that new fuel models will also be drawn according to that philosophy. That is not a big surprise, because last summer a BMW X5-like one emerged with Neue Klasse lines and an exhaust. That was a bit confusing, but as we thought at the time, that must indeed have been the new X5 with fuel engines. It’s nice that the Dutch designer has now confirmed this design course. Van Hooydonk further hints that the production versions of the two concept cars mentioned will resemble the study models almost like two drops of water. However, they do become a bit more subtle in size.
