Future Samsung phones could adjust their settings on their own with the help of AI

Imagine a future where phones know us so well, they anticipate our every need without us navigating through the settings menu.

Samsung wants to be at the forefront of innovation, so it is now exploring unknown territories of artificial intelligence and investing in the development of a completely new thing based on it.

A new AI feature

According to industry sources, the company is working on an AI feature that could predict what consumers want after analyzing and learning from how they use either the keyboard, camera or other elements of a phone.

Bixby, the company’s voice assistant, already offers the possibility to change certain settings through voice commands.

However, the new feature thought up by Samsung promises to take this concept to a new level.

Contextual adjustments

Thus, phones could automatically adjust screen brightness depending on where we are, optimize camera settings or activate Silent mode when we’re at work, without any intervention from us.

Challenges in implementing new technology

Implementing such technology comes with challenges, however.

Samsung will have to strike the perfect balance between utility and privacy, making sure this AI feature doesn’t become invasive or frustrating.

A new Galaxy, ready to launch

In parallel with this initiative, the South Korean company announced the launch of a new smartphone in the Galaxy series next week.

It is not known exactly which model it would be, but speculation points to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.

Rumored specs

According to rumors, it could measure 10.6mm when folded and 4.9mm when open. If this information is confirmed, the new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition could represent a leap in the evolution of foldable phones.

It is rumored that the next phone will have a front screen with a diagonal of 6.5 inches and an internal display of 8 inches. The phone is also expected to have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a 200-megapixel main camera and an IP48 certification for water and dust resistance.

It will be interesting to see how Samsung manages to balance innovation with real consumer needs and preferences.
