Gaikindo Records 2024 GIIAS Series Transactions of More than IDR 20 Trillion

DAPURPACUID – The final event of this year’s GIIAS The Series in Semarang City, is claimed to have achieved positive results, even though it occupied a new venue which officially closed on 27 October.

Taking place at UNDIP’s Muladi Dome, GIIAS Semarang 2024 managed to record a high response from visitors since the first day which continued to increase every day, reaching a total of 30,070 people.

“The atmosphere of GIIAS Semarang this year is more magnificent and lively, which is the reason why visitor enthusiasm has continued to increase since the first day,” said Chairman III, Rizwan Alamsjah.

The man who also serves as Chairman of the Gaikindo Exhibition Organizer added that this positive change was not only felt by the organizers, but also by the participants.

According to him, the presence of a new location at Muladi Dome UNDIP also provided a new atmosphere for participants, who were attended by 19 well-known motor vehicle brands in the country.

“The wider exhibition area allows participants to display their superior products more optimally, so that visitors who attend have a wider choice of vehicle models that can be explored,” said Rizwan.

As is known, the 2024 GIIAS Semarang exhibition was attended by 14 brands of passenger vehicles, four brands of two-wheelers and 25 brands of supporting industries, ranging from automotive components to supporting technology.

Gaikindo General Chair, Yohannes Nangoi said, this year’s GIIAS Semarang is claimed to have succeeded in attracting the interest of the people of Central Java to see firsthand the progress of the National automotive industry.

“Moving to the new venue, GIIAS Semarang is bigger and more complete so that the people of Central Java are enthusiastic about coming to see the latest models and technology from the Indonesian motor vehicle industry, as well as getting education and direct experience from Brand Holder Agents,” said Yohannes.

The enthusiasm of the visitors who came, he said, also reflected the results achieved during the exhibition, so that they could contribute directly to the achievements of the motor vehicle industry this year.

“The GIIAS exhibition series in the regions aims to encourage the achievements of the motor vehicle industry, and is Gaikindo’s effort to achieve the revised 2024 sales target of 850 thousand vehicle units by the end of this year,” he added.

The entire GIIAS The Series 2024 event managed to record more than half a million visitors, where the 31st GIIAS 2024 in BSD-City Kab. Tangerang recorded an attendance of 475,084 people.

Meanwhile, the GIIAS Surabaya series was attended by 35,385 visitors, GIIAS Bandung recorded 24,847 people and finally GIIAS Semarang recorded a total of 30,070 visitors.

The total transactions achieved throughout the GIIAS 2024 series reached a total of 40 thousand motorized vehicles sold, with a value of more than IDR 20 trillion.

“We are very grateful that amidst the challenges faced by the motor vehicle industry this year, the entire GIIAS series was successful, recording good results and contributing to the achievements of the country’s industry,” concluded Rizwan.

He promised that the GIIAS exhibition series next year would be more lively, and ready to greet people in strategic cities in Indonesia. (dpid/TH)
