The last part of the trilogy inspired by Marin Preda’s novels, Murometii 3, follows the fate of Niculae, the youngest son of the famous peasant family, who becomes a well-known writer in the 50s. A difficult moment for the history of the country, the establishment of the new communist regime thus becomes the background of the complex stories in the life of this young man full of ideas, ambitions and hopes. Played by Alex Călin, the character navigates love interests, professional and ideological conflicts, but also the relationship with his old and wise father, Ilie Moromete, played by Horațiu Mălăele.

The impressive cast also includes Răzvan Vasilescu, Iulian Postelnicu, Cătălin Herlo, Dana Dogaru, Toma Cuzin, Ana Ciontea, Laurențiu Bănescu, Conrad Mericoffer, Ioan Andrei Ionescu, Andreea Bibiri, Ilinca Hărnuț, Dorina Chiriac, with the extraordinary participation of Oana Pellea.

The film will officially hit theaters starting November 22.

Transilvania Film, the distributor of the production, also announced a national promotional tour in more than 50 cities, many of them without a cinema hall. It will start in October and the full schedule will be announced soon.

Gala premiere Murometii 2 collected in 2018, at the Palace Hall, over 4000 spectatorsbeing sold-out just a few days after tickets go on sale. The second part of the trilogy is one of the most popular releases of recent years, both by the special events that accompanied it and by the large number of spectators gathered in cinema halls – over 200,000. In 2019, it was the most appreciated film in the 13th edition of the Gopo Awards, winning 9 trophies out of 14 nominations.
