Galatasaray was defeated by 5 goals in the friendly match!

Galatasaray Football Team lost 5-2 to Fortuna Düsseldorf, the representative of the German 2nd Football League (Bundesliga 2), in a friendly match.

The red-yellow team, who were camping in the town of Geinberg near Linz, Austria, faced Fortuna Düsseldorf from the Bundesliga 2 team in the second preparation match.

Galatasaray started the match at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz with a starting 11 consisting of Batuhan Şen, Leo Dubois, Metehan Baltacı, Berkan Kutlu, Derrick Köhn, Lucas Torreira, Kerem Demirbay, Tete, Dries Mertens, Wilfried Zaha and Michy Batshuayi.

Fortuna Düsseldorf took a 2-0 lead with goals scored by Emmanuel Iyoha in the 22nd minute and Jona Niemiec in the 25th minute. Galatasaray, who reduced the difference to 1 with a goal scored by Kerem Demirbay in the 35th minute of the match, entered the halftime trailing 2-1.

Okan Buruk started the second half with a Tete-Yusuf Demir change. The experienced coach brought on Hakim Ziyech and Efe Akman in the 68th minute, Sergio Oliveira, Halil Dervişoğlu and Kazımcan Karataş in the 78th minute, and Eyüp Aydın, Ali Yeşilyurt, Gökdeniz Gürpüz and Eren Aydın in the 86th minute.
