In memory of 20-year-old Egert Tõkke, who died in a serious traffic accident in Herjava late on Monday, friends organized a car trip this evening.
Nearly 70 cars gathered for the commemorative drive. First, they visited the accident site, where candles were brought and a mourning ceremony was held. Afterwards, the cars drove in a joint column through places that had been important to the deceased young man – they circled the city and visited the garages where Tõkke and his friends often repaired cars, because cars were his passion.
All cars participating in the journey had mourning ribbons and hazard lights on. Those who did not have a mourning ribbon were given it at the first gathering place.
