Game of Thrones actress Hannah Murray was hospitalized after being recruited into a “wellness cult”.

Murray, who is originally from Bristol and played Gilly in the hit HBO series, plans to publish her memoir next year, revealing more about the events that led to her forced stay in treatment.

The 35-year-old actress, who rose to fame in 2007 playing Kasi in the series “Skins”, revealed how her mental health had been damaged when she was kept in treatment in 2017 after joining the group.

“My book ‘The Make-Believe’ tells a deeply personal story that has lived inside me for a long time and now I feel it is essential to share it,” she noted.

“This is a story about the fine line between what is real and what is an illusion; between what we must accept and what we want to be true; between the solid ground under your feet and a world where anything is possible if you just put your mind to it. The word is about the lure of those who tell us they can save us and the deceptive structures of organizations that promise us ‘wellness.’ to take advantage of them,” said a statement from publisher Hutchinson Heinemann.

The character Murray played on Skins struggled with mental health issues and an eating disorder, something Murray has previously admitted took a toll on her. She was just 17 when she portrayed Kasi in the acclaimed Channel 4 drama.
