Kim Byeong-ji, CEO of professional soccer K-League 1 Gangwon FC, visited Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League (EPL) and Celtic of the Scottish Premiership (SPL).

The Gangwon club said on the 4th, “CEO Kim Byeong-ji recently visited England at the invitation of Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy. “CEO Kim met with Tottenham leaders, including Chairman Levy, and talked about revitalizing both clubs and player exchanges,” he said. “He also toured Tottenham’s training facilities and watched the EPL game between Tottenham and Brentford.”

Son Heung-min’s team, Tottenham, established a relationship with Gangwon last summer by recruiting 18-year-old K Leaguer Yang Min-hyuk. Yang Min-hyuk will play as a loanee in Gangwon until this year and will play as a Tottenham player from January next year.

In addition to Tottenham, CEO Kim toured the stadium facilities of EPL teams such as Brighton, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City. He also benchmarked best practices in marketing and home game management of major EPL clubs to strengthen capabilities and promote club development.

Afterwards, CEO Kim moved to Celtic to encourage ‘former Gangwon player’ Yang Hyun-jun. Representative Kim also met with Celtic manager Brandon Rogers at this event.

CEO Kim said, “I felt a lot while looking at the facilities and stadiums of EPL clubs, including Tottenham. “I will think about how it can serve as a good foundation for Gangwon’s development,” he said.
