- Garmin introduced new training programs in August
- They focus on developing strength and tracking personal progress
- A new beginner plan may be introduced by the end of the year
Garmin introduced new strength training programs over the summer holidays. According to the respected server the5krunner, he soon intends to enrich them with a plan aimed primarily at beginners, which will introduce them to the world of strength training and help them track their progress during their first training sessions.
According to the portal the5krunner the new program will be launched “soon”, we will probably see it this year. They should be included three training sessions per week for a total of twelve weeks. Everything will start with an introductory exercise, the aim of which will be to find out the user’s current condition, and at the end Garmin will help evaluate results thanks to comparative training.
Additional details regarding the program „Get Fit“ are still unknown. As an amateur athlete who is interested in strengthening and its effective methods, I am personally very curious about how the individual training sessions will be built.
The fact is that complex exercises are especially suitable for beginners, which do not focus on a specific muscle group, but teach the individual to work with his body as a whole.
In an article describing the August update that brought new strength-building training programs, the5krunner mentions inclusion of complex exercises (benchpress, deadlift, squats), personal “maximum” testing or concept days with push/pull exercises (push/pull).
