Geely is eyeing European sites for a factory amid an EU-China tariff dispute

Geely is in the process of looking for a location to build a factory in Europe, but has not fully committed to increasing production on our continent.

Talks are ongoing between the Chinese carmaker and Poland’s new government for a joint electric vehicle plant in the country, but officials in the latter do not see Geely as an ideal partner.

Geely is China’s second largest carmaker by sales, behind only BYD, and its portfolio includes Volvo, a joint venture with Renault and stakes in Aston Martin and Mercedes-Benz.
