GeForce Now has also gone to CES 2025

Although NVIDIA has highlighted this CES 2025 for the presentation of the GeForce RTX 50, GeForce Now has also had its share of prominence at the technology fair of the year. And, taking advantage of this event, the technology company has made a significant number of announcements related to its cloud service, which continues to evolve, as it has not stopped doing since its launch, demonstrating the determination of NVIDIA’s commitment to the cloud game.

One of the most relevant announcements has been the development of a native GeForce Now app for the Steam Deckwhich will be available at the end of 2025. This integration will allow users of Valve’s portable console to enjoy all the power of a GeForce RTX 4080 GPU on their laptops through an Ultimate subscription. This will enable advanced technologies such as DLSS, which improves graphical quality by generating more detailed images without compromising performance, and NVIDIA Reflex, designed to minimize latency and offer instant response time.

On the app will offer versatile performance adapted to different configurations. In portable mode, gamers will be able to take advantage of HDR10 or SDR10 graphics, enjoying richer colors and improved lighting on compatible displays. On the other hand, if connected to a monitor or television, the graphic experience will reach resolutions of up to 1440p at 120 FPS or 4K at 60 FPS, depending on the device. This level of quality, combined with the portability of the Steam Deck, represents a significant change in the way cloud gaming is accessed.

Another of the great novelties is the arrival of GeForce Now to the ecosystem of virtual and mixed reality devices, including Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3 and 3S, and Pico systems. This collaboration with Apple, Meta and ByteDance opens the door to new gaming and entertainment experiences, integrating advanced technologies such as ray tracing and DLSS to maximize visual quality in compatible games. Users will be able to enjoy immersive graphics performance that, until now, was limited to more traditional systems.
