Google has announced the Gemini Live availability in Spanish. An announced deployment and highly anticipated for the hundreds of millions of Spanish speakers of the Internet giant’s personal artificial intelligence assistant, the maximum competition for the conversational functionality of OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Everything related to AI is still in full swing and the big technology companies continue to position themselves. By expanding Gemini Live and app connections to more languages, we are making this a reality, helping people around the world connect with information and experience the benefits of an AI-powered assistant.”.
The idea of Gemini Live (previously known as Bard) is the same in any language: “Have natural conversations like you would with a friend.” The main functions are also maintained:
- Chat: Talk to Gemini without typing and he will respond orally.
- Brainstorm out loud: Ask him or her to give you gift ideas, plan an event, or create a business plan.
- Get informed: Discover more information about topics that interest you.
- Practice out loud: Prepare for the most important occasions by having more natural conversations.
How to use Gemini Live in Spanish
It must be said that the app supports conversations in up to two languages supported on the same device. You can configure it easily:
- Download and install the app (if you don’t already have it) from Google Play.
- Open the app on Android phones or tablets.
- At the top, tap your profile photo or initials.
- Tap Settings > Google Assistant > Languages.
- Choose Spanish or a supported language from those supported.
As we said above. Optionally you can add a second language compatible with those supported by Google. The update to add more languages to the initial English is being carried out progressively and will end up reaching another 40 languages.
Finally, comment that Google qualifies its AI personal assistant for Android as «experimental». Say that if you enable Gemini Live, you will disable Google Assistant and vice versa.
