America’s General Motors and South Korea’s Hyundai will explore opportunities for cooperation in vehicle development, improving supply and advancing “clean energy” technology.
Those two car manufacturers announced today that they will try to reduce costs and make a wider range of vehicles faster, reports Beta.
In addition to possible partnerships for the production of passenger and commercial vehicles, including internal combustion engines, as well as electric and hydrogen technology engines, the two companies will look for opportunities to jointly source raw materials for batteries, steel and other areas.
“Our goal is to unlock the scale and creativity of both companies to deliver even more competitive vehicles to customers faster and more efficiently,” GM President and CEO Mary Bara said in a statement.
Hyundai Motor Co. and GM signed a memorandum of understanding and announced that they will also work on binding cooperation agreements.
