Get your wallets ready. An electric car from Sony is now available for pre-order

Sony and Honda invite you to place pre-orders for their AFEELA 1 electric car. What do we know about it and how much does it cost?

Last year’s CES brought the first details of cooperation between Sony and Honda, which are working together on a new electric car. Sony Honda Mobility unveiled cards related to AFEELA, and the first electric cars with this name, developed by both companies, were to hit the streets in 2027. Although we did not learn the details of the offer, AFEELA hoped that thanks to its proprietary solutions it would push the electromobility market to front. Now, on the occasion of CES 2025, we know more information about the car – specifically, two models RELATIVE 1which are already available for pre-sale, although customers will still have to wait a while to receive them.

AFEELA 1 will be available in two variants: Origin and Signature. The former is to be more affordable and will cost USD 89,900 in the United States, which in direct conversion (without taxes) gives us approximately PLN 368,000. AFEELA 1 Signature was additionally equipped with two screens for rear passengers, 21-inch aluminum rims, and a mirror system with a central camera and Home Link. You have to pay extra for these extras. This model was valued at $102,900 (approx. PLN 422,000). Buyers will receive a 3-year subscription to various on-board and entertainment systems, including AFEELA Intelligent Drive (Level 2+ ADAS) and AI assistant.

AFEELA 1 now available for pre-order. The first cars will be delivered to drivers next year

Interestingly, at the moment, reservations for both AFEELA 1 models are only available in California. Interested customers can now deposit $200 toward future fees, and those who opt for the Signature variant can choose the body and upholstery color. Reserving an AFEELA 1 Signature or Origin means that those who order early will be among the first in line to collect their vehicle. Being a reservation holder also gives you access to events organized by Sony Honda Mobility and the opportunity to learn about the vehicle. Interestingly, AFEELA 1 in the Signature version will be delivered to drivers in the middle of next year, while the Origin variant will not leave the production line until 2027. Details of the offer and more information about individual models can be found on the official AFEELA 1 websites. At the moment, there is no information whether the car will come to Europe.
