11st “Gifticon sold on WeMakePrice used normally…1 billion won worth”
KT Alpha also plans to use Timon and WeMakePrice gift show sales normally
Some mobile gift certificates sold by WeMakePrice and TMON, which are experiencing delays in sales payment settlement, are expected to be used normally. This is because 11th Street, which operates ‘Gifticon’, and KT Alpha, which operates ‘Gifticho’, have taken measures to ensure that they can be used normally within the validity period.
11st announced on the 25th that it has decided to allow consumers to normally use gift certificates sold on WeMakePrice that have not yet been used by consumers.

According to this decision, gift certificates sold on WeMakePrice can be used within the validity period. If the seller name on WeMakePrice is listed as ‘Gifticon’, the product can be used normally. 11st has been selling gift certificates for Yogiyo and Baedal Minjok, Shinsegae gift certificates, etc. on WeMakePrice.
According to 11st, the current unused gift certificates sold on WeMakePrice are worth about 1 billion won. However, 11st does not sell gift certificates directly on Tmon.
Another mobile coupon service, ‘Giftishow’, can also be used as long as it is within the validity period. KT Alpha, which operates Giftishow, also announced on the same day that it has decided to allow all mobile coupons issued by the company purchased from Tmon and WeMakePrice to be used normally.
Accordingly, the mobile coupon ‘Gifty Show’, where the seller is Timon and WeMakePrice, can be used at the designated location within the validity period.
KT Alpha has been supplying mobile coupons through supply contracts with brands such as coffee shops, convenience stores, and department stores, and has been selling them on both Tmon and WeMakePrice. After a delay in payment settlement occurred, KT Alpha took the measure of suspending sales on Tmon and WeMakePrice on the 16th. Then, it decided to allow customers to use previously sold mobile coupons normally without cancellation of purchase or issuance.
An 11th Street official said, “We made this decision based on the judgment that consumer convenience is the top priority even if the unsettled loss increases,” and “We will continue to do our best to ensure that consumers do not experience any inconvenience in the future.”
A KT Alpha official also said, “After the delay in settlement of sales proceeds between Timon and WeMakePrice, we quickly responded to prevent any damage to customers,” and added, “We will continue to monitor and respond in the future.”
Previously, social commerce companies WeMakePrice and Tmon, subsidiaries of Quten, experienced delays in settlements for their sellers. Problems occurred, such as sellers who did not receive settlement payments not properly delivering products to customers, and customers who purchased products also experienced difficulties in receiving refunds.
