Gil Vicente scheduled a meeting with Sporting in the quarter-finals, this Sunday, with a 1-0 victory over Moreirense.
The only goal of this Minho classic, at the Barcelos Stadium, was scored by Félix Correia, in the 70th minute, taking advantage of Benny’s error.
In the other first-division duel this Sunday, Rio Ave got the better of Casa Pia, with a 3-1 victory.
The Vila-Condenses were the first to enter the field, in Rio Maior. Kiko Bondoso put Petit’s team ahead after just six minutes and Clayton Silva made it 2-0 nine minutes later.
Even before the break, Henrique Pereira slowed down and relaunched the discussion of the result, however, in the 81st minute, Tiago Morais delivered the final blow to the game.
Gil Vicente will face Sporting in the “quarters” and, if they qualify, they will face Elvas or Tirsense. Rio Ave will face São João de Ver and, if they win, they will face Farense/Benfica or Braga/Lusitano.
