Choreographer Daniil Gleikhengauz explained why coach Eteri Tutberidze does not come to the stages of the Russian Grand Prix with his charges.
“Everything is simple with us. Someone stays to work at the skating rink with the group. When Eteri Georgievna leaves for some competitions, we stay. Is this a banal distribution of roles? Yes,” quotes Gleikhengauz as saying “Championship”.
On November 17, a student of Tutberidze’s group, Adelia Petrosyan, won the Grand Prix stage in Moscow. Another of her wards, Daria Sadkova, took second place.
This season there have already been four stages of the tournament, but Tutberidze missed them.
