IDC analysts published a report on global smartphone sales. Apple noted a 1.5 percent increase.
In the period from April to June, the American giant sold 545.2 million iPhones. This translated into a 15.8 percent market share and second place in the ranking. The sales leader is Samsung with almost 54 million phones sold. The company can boast almost 18.9 percent market share. The last place on the podium was taken by Xiaomi. The over 14 percent share was possible thanks to the sale of 42.3 million smartphones. It is worth noting the over 27% increase in sales year-on-year.
Vivo and OPPO also made it to the list. These manufacturers sold 25.9 and 25.8 million phones, respectively, which translated into a 9.1 and 9.0 percent share, respectively.
In the first quarter of this year, all manufacturers sold a combined total of over 285 million smartphones. Compared to the same period a year earlier, this is a 6.5 percent increase.
