GlobalConnect Netteam gets new certification in sustainability

GlobalConnect strengthens the efforts in the green transition through the subsidiary Netteam, which has just been certified in Cisco’s sustainability program Environmental Sustainability Specialization.

At GlobalConnect Netteam, future investments in new network equipment can be made on a more informed and sustainable basis.

Netteam is now certified in network supplier Cisco’s sustainability program Environmental Sustainability Specialization. Among other things, the certification sets requirements for GlobalConnect’s sustainability efforts, including reporting and strategy.

At the same time, they must make Cisco’s tool available, where customers can compare CO2 footprints from existing and new equipment. In this way, customers can assess how much savings on electricity consumption and CO2 emissions they achieve when they invest in new network solutions. The certification also requires returns and recycling of aging network equipment.

The certification arouses joy in GlobalConnect:

“Increased focus on sustainability is not just a demand from customers, but also a great desire internally from both employees and owners. Through a growth loan, we have committed ourselves to concrete ESG goals, and the certification is a natural step in relation to recognizing the efforts we make and offering corporate customers the opportunity to make greener choices,” says Sofia Lisa Dinesen, SVP for Strategy , M&A, ESG and Communication in GlobalConnect Group.

Together with GlobalConnect, Netteam delivers the company’s SmartConnect solution. It is an all-in-one ecosystem that brings together all network products and IT services in one manageable solution for businesses.
