If there’s a giant Japanese monster that’s everywhere, it’s good Godzilla. The year 2025 will be rich for the giant lizard which is about to arrive in the Marvel universe.
After Kong and the Justice League, Godzilla will arrive in the Marvel universe
For Godzilla’s 70th birthday, the latter was able to afford a second confrontation against Kong and the Justice League and that’s not all because he had the right to its new shared universe at IDW with a real reboot of the license. But Japan’s most famous monster will end up on Marvel’s side. Indeed, Godzilla will have a crossover with superheroes who will soon join the MCU.
It is The Hollywood Reporter who revealed the project for a one-shot with Godzilla and the House of Ideas. In 2023, Marvel Comics teamed up with Toho International for a collaboration that featured variant covers of Godzilla and reprints of the original Marvel comics from Godzilla. This partnership goes even further because The King of the Monsters will soon make his entry into the Marvel universe with six one-shots in which he will face various Marvel superheroes.
Godzilla will face several Marvel superheroes
Thus, the American media announces that this crossover entitled Godzilla vs. Marvel will begin in spring 2025 with a first clash against the Fantastic Four who are preparing to join the Marvel cinematographic universe. This will be the first fight of the King of Monsters who will face Spider-Man, Hulk, the X-Men and Thor. These meetings should offer us epic moments.
Pour Godzilla vs. Fantastic Four #1he is the current screenwriter of the Fantastic Four, Ryan Northwho is behind the screenplay, accompanied by John Romita Jr. on drawings.
In this episode, the synopsis reveals that “King Ghidorah descends to Earth with cosmic power as Galactus’ new herald“. It remains to be seen whether the Fantastic Four will be up to the task of preventing him from destroying New York but also the planet.
This crossover is the first collaboration between Marvel and Toho in almost 50 years. Between 1977 and 1979, Marvel offered comics Godzilla, King of the Monsters.

Godzilla vs Fantastic Four #1 will be available from March 19. Regarding the MCU film Fantastic Fourit will be discovered on July 23, 2025.
