The Open Championship in golf starts today at 7.30 a.m. and Sky and Wow will be broadcasting it live for four days until Sunday.

The Open Championship, the only golf major that is not held in the USA but in Europe and in which amateurs as well as professionals compete, will take place between July 18 and 21 in Troon, Scotland. The oldest golf tournament still being held in the world is also the fourth and final major of the year. Previous winners in 2024 and thus also among the current circle of favorites include Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau. Robert MacIntyre, who is now the first Scot in 25 years to win a home victory at the Scottish Open, can also have hopes.

Sweden’s golf prodigy Ludvig Aberg is also there. The 24-year-old was part of the impressive European Ryder Cup victory in Rome and is now playing his first British Open. Four German players, Stephan Jäger, Yannik Paul, Marcel Siem and Alex Cejka, are also in the field at the Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland. The Austrian Sepp Straka is also teeing off.
