Good news! Children’s allowances are increasing from 1 January 2025

Good news for parents. From January 1, 2025, allowances will increase by 10.4%.

In 2024, the increase was 13.8%, according to hotnews.ro.

It seems that allowances will increase from 719 lei to 794 lei for children under 2 years old or with disabilities. They will also increase from 292 lei to 323 lei for minors who are over two years old.

The Minister of Labor, Simona Bucura Oprescu, declared on October 10 that “the 3.6 million children, as well as the young people who attend high schools and vocational schools, will receive increased state allowances”.

She also said that the necessary funds come from the budget of the Ministry of Labor and that the payments are managed by the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection.
