Goods worth Tk 12 lakhs have been stolen from two cement factories located in Karnaphuli, Chittagong.
In this incident, two cases have been filed separately in the Karnaphuli police station on behalf of two companies. of which case no.25 and 26.
The eight accused in the two cases are – Md Helal Hossain (25), Md Saiful Islam Liton (25), Abdul Nabi (24), Anik (24), Md Shahed Prakash Lailya (28), Mohiuddin (30), Javed (22) Hyder Ali (20) along with 10 others unknown. Their homes are in Juldha Dangarchar and Charpatharghata Ichanagar villages.
According to the statement of the two cases, on the night of November 15, thieves cut the 200 meter cable worth Tk 10 lakh, which was placed on the wall next to the gypsum field of a cement company located in Ichanagar, Karnaphuli.
On the other hand, the thieves cut the 100 feet fan cable worth Tk.
Later, through the collection of CCTV footage, it was mentioned in the statement that the accused were involved in the theft.
When asked about the theft of goods from two cement factories, Karnaphuli Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Monir Hossain said that there have been two cases. Legal action will be taken against those involved in the two incidents.
