Google Chrome is getting a new feature! Increases performance with a single click

  • Google Chrome fixes performance issues
  • It plans to add a new one-click error correction feature
  • It was primarily acquired by Chrome Canary users

The Google Chrome browser is still one of the most popular among users. But the fact is that in recent years it has been struggling with declining performance and thus significantly slower loading compared to competing browsers. You will see a slight improvement if you turn it on preloading pagesrespectively extended prefetching (you can find this option in Settings and then in the Performance menu).

But Google has recently targeted the problem and offers an option in addition to preloading putting unused cards to sleep. For this purpose, Google invented memory saver (Memory Saver), which, however, is only available on computers. Thanks to it, some tabs will cease to be active and the performance of the browser will be concentrated only on the currently used ones, which have more computing resources at their disposal. Which is another improvement, however, even if you have the memory saver function activated, this “sleeping” takes some time and the performance of the browser is therefore low for a certain time.

That is why Google is now planning to come up with another novelty – pop-up button for instant performance correction. When it’s really a crisis, this new button will appear on your desktop with a list of problem cards and two options: Fix it now or Cancel. So one click will be enough to disable “broken” cards and increase performance instantly. And at the same time, you’ll see how much memory you’ve saved.

As with other performance enhancement options, this new fix button named Alerts for performance issues (Performance issue alerts) you will need to activate first. And it’s classically via Settings and Performance. Subsequently, a kind of power detector is automatically started.

Users Chrome Canary they can use this feature even now. At ordinary Google Chrome you have to wait a while for it – but it should arrive there too.

Do you use Google Chrome and why?
