Google created virtual assistant to help with Chrome tasks

With a unique focus on AI, Google is preparing new products and new solutions. It has already integrated a lot of Gemini into its services and is now preparing a very interesting new feature. Google will create a virtual assistant to help with Chrome tasks. In this unique way, it will help all users.

Jarvis will be based on Google AI

Google has big ambitions for AI, as evident by the numerous tweaks and updates it has made to the Gemini chatbot in recent months. During the I/O developer conference in May, the company briefly talked about a “universal AI agent useful in everyday life.” Google revealed at the time that some of the features of this AI agent could come to Gemini this year. A new report has revealed some new details about Google's plans for this AI agent.

According to a published newsthis project in development and ter+a, supposedly codenamed Project Jarvis. It will take advantage of the user's browser to perform many tasks, such as booking flights, searching for information or purchasing a product. Google plans to present Project Jarvis in December, with the experience adapted for Google Chrome.

It will be equipped with Gemini 2.0, scheduled for release in December, so the timing is no longer indicated. Google wants to initially roll out the capabilities of this AI agent to a small group of users for testing. It is also worth remembering that the launch schedule for December is not defined and Google may choose not to display Jarvis and its features until then.

Based on the publication's reports, Project Jarvis is designed to “automate everyday web-based tasks.” It does this by continuously capturing screen images and understanding them before the user can offer additional information through the text box or by just tapping a button.

However, it is noted that the responses are somewhat slow now “because the model needs to think a few seconds before carrying out each action”. The search giant should improve this process and make Jarvis much more functional and tailored to users.

This information comes from three people who had direct knowledge of the matter, although there are no images or videos available to demonstrate how Jarvis will work. This AI agent will look like a working version of what Humane and Rabbit promised on their dedicated hardware. With December almost here, we hope to learn more about Project Jarvis and what it can do in the coming weeks.
