Google Discover now has more options to make you spend more time on the platform. It seems that in addition to providing interesting articles to read, Google Discover is now introducing funny polls.
Google Discover introduces fun surveys to keep people on the platform longer.
These games are available for one week and participation is visible in aggregate to other participants. Here are the polls that took place last week (of the “What would you rather?” type):
– July 18: 47% want to be a butterfly for a day vs. 53% to be a dolphin for a day
– July 19: 63% want to stay at a resort for a week vs. 37% want to backpack through Europe for three months
– July 20: 52% want to see the world with the wonder of a child vs. 48% want to see the world with the wisdom of age
– July 21: 47% want to befriend a raccoon vs. 53% want to befriend a crow
– July 22: 64% want to live in a world with magic vs. 36% want to live in a world with futuristic technology
– July 23: 53% want to embrace life’s uncertainty with joy vs. 47% want to seek answers to life’s mysteries
– July 24: 44% want humanity to bring back the dinosaurs vs. 56% want humanity to be visited by aliens
The July 26 poll asked the following question: “Would you rather never have to sleep again or never have to exercise again?”
Google Discover introduces daily fun polls. How can they be accessed?
If you would like to participate in these surveys, you can do so at dailygames.discover.google.com or of course on Google Discover on your phone. It’s clear that this page is meant to keep you coming back daily to vote. And it’s pretty fun.
But that’s not all Google has introduced for Discover. Recently, the company added an “Updates from Search” card that shows summaries of top news that match the user’s interests. It looks like a square card, the size of two widgets placed on top of each other. Also introduced is a Gemini gradient background and a star in the lower right corner, writes PhoneArena.
