Google Gemini will be a hair smarter again. Improvements coming soon!

  • Google is preparing to launch a new model of artificial intelligence
  • Gemini 2.0 will arrive at the end of the year, according to a reputable news site
  • Exactly how much better it will be, we don’t know yet. However, the performance does not meet the expectations of the developers

Technological giants constantly surpassing the capabilities of their generative artificial intelligence models. For example, Anthropic announced a few days back the fast and cheaper model Claude 3.5 Haiku, and at the same time showed off the new skill of the model Claude 3.5 Sonnet, which can now control computers as humans do through the API. It is now speculated that a more advanced language model will be introduced by the Californian giant Google very soon.

The server came up with the details The Verge (cited by the portal 9to5Google), according to which Gemini 2.0 will arrive at the end of this year. At the same time, the December launch will be of a more extensive nature – the improved artificial intelligence will not reach only a handful of people, but directly to a larger volume of users. It is possible that, like Gemini 1.5, it will initially be limited to Gemini Advanced subscribers.

There aren’t many specific details about how the Gemini 2.0 will be better than the current model. The Verge only talks about the performance boost that does not meet the expectations of the team led by the head of Google DeepMind Demis Hassabis. However, this trend should appear across the companies developing the most famous models and a certain degree of stagnation so it’s not just Google.
