Google Maps has already accustomed us to the fact that some of the new options they introduce to the application reach only a narrow group of users limited by region. Sometimes they flow into wider waters, sometimes not – what will it be this time?
The internet giant has just announced the introduction of new features that will be available only to residents of India for now. Among them is accident reporting. Something that many navigation systems (including Google’s Waze) have had for years, and an option that many drivers have been eagerly awaiting.
The giant announced on its product blog the introduction of new functions in this huge, but also difficult, market. And although the function that arouses the most emotions from our perspective is undoubtedly the reporting of incidents encountered on the road to warn drivers, that’s not all. Because there will be more new functions in the maps.
Google Maps with new features for drivers. For now, we won’t be able to use them in Poland
Google has devoted a lot of attention to providing the best possible experience for the residents of the region – and is introducing a lot of solutions that will benefit the residents. One of the most important is the support of routes flyover and warnings about narrow roads. In addition, as in other regions, Google Maps will expand its database of information on electric chargers. The platform will also allow you to book metro tickets.
Google takes care of individual markets. We are waiting for similar improvements in Poland!
For years, we’ve seen Google release new features dedicated to the American market — and I don’t think anyone was particularly surprised. It’s “their” home, and a huge market. But with these announcements, the company is proving that it’s not over yet — and is also serving up regional improvements in other corners of the world. Who knows, maybe some special features will soon make their way to Poland? Buying tickets for public transport in the largest cities wouldn’t be a bad idea.
