Major tech companies have a new industry group established that will focus on the security of artificial intelligence (AI).
The Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI) framework will function as an open-source group intended to share methods, standards, and tools.
Anthropic, Amazon, Cisco, Google, IBM, Intel, Microsoft Nvidia and PayPal are among the founding members. Co-chairs are David LaBianca, senior director at Google, as well as Omar Santos, engineer and AI security research at Cisco.
CoSAI will collaborate with the US NIST, Open-Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF) and other stakeholders to conduct joint research. In addition, there will be collaborations with organizations such as Frontier Model Forum, Partnership on AI, OpenSSF and ML Commons.
CoSAI will be hosted by OASIS Open, the international standards and open-source consortium.
