- Google introduced a new Lite version of the Google One subscription
- It only offers 30GB of storage, but it costs a fortune
- It was only seen in India and we do not know if it will come to the Czech Republic
The Google One service was officially launched in 2018 and is currently offered in the Czech Republic four different tariffs. While without a subscription you get up to 15 GB for free cloud storage for Google Photos, Google Drive and Gmailfor an additional fee you can have more than a hundred times as much space. Now Google is launching another tariffwhich aims at less demanding, and therefore it costs an absolute fortune.
I personally like to take pictures and record videos with my phone, so I currently subscribe Google One Basic for CZK 59.99 per monthso that I have 100GB of space available in Google Photos. It is suitable for users who want to move twice as much media to the cloud Standard package recommended by Google with 200 GB of space and a price of CZK 79.99 per month.
Subscription Premium (CZK 299.99 per month) then it even offers 2 TB of space and includes other benefits, for example in the Workspace service. The most expensive package costs CZK 549.99 per monthis called AI Premium and in addition to the benefits already included, it also offers access to the service Gemini Advanced with the advanced 1.5 Pro model and integrated AI in office applications. Except for this tariff, all subscriptions are possible pay for 12 months in advancewhich works out more advantageously.
As pointed out by the server The Indian Expressin India the package is expanding Google One Lite. Is more than half cheaper than the Basic plan – it costs 59 rupees there, i.e. about 16 crowns in conversion – and will provide access to only 30 GB of space. For users who just want to save more files or e-mails in the cloud at a slow pace, without having to constantly delete the existing ones, this is quite an attractive offer.
It is not yet clear whether Google One Lite will launch in the Czech Republic. I myself would probably be limited by 30 GB of space, but I believe that it would find its fans here.
Would you buy a Google One Lite plan?
