Google Pixel 9 Pro: Official cases and promotional material leaked

THE Google may have tried to prevent extensive leaks of its upcoming devices by holding its annual launch event two months early in August, but that tactic doesn’t seem to have worked at all.

New promotional materials, promotional videos and official cases were leaked today.

More specifically, the official cases of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL were leaked. The first device will have silicon cases in Charcoal, Porcelain, Hazel, Rose and Aloe. The latter is strange because the Pixel 9 Pro itself is not expected to be offered in an Aloe shade.

Moving on to the XL model, its cases will have the same colors as the Pixel 9 Pro, except for the Aloe variant.

A promotional video for the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL was then released and posted on YouTube, where it has unfortunately since been removed “for violating YouTube’s Terms of Service”. The video focused on the fact that the Pixel Pro will now, for the first time, be offered in two sizes. It also confirms Google’s continued commitment to software updates – the company promises seven years of Pixel Feature Drops.

There’s also a quick look at Pixel Screenshots, which allows you to easily search for any previously saved screenshot. Of course, Google also boasts ‘Pro-level’ cameras on the two Pro models, with Super Res Zoom Video and a new AI-powered Add Me feature that lets you take two group shots and then merge them together with the help of artificial intelligence.

This ensures that everyone is in the final image, including the person taking the photo. Still, of course, Google Gemini is advertised.

Finally, there was another leaked video this time focusing on the ‘vanilla’ Pixel 9, which was also removed from Youtube.

This replaces Add Me with Magic Editor which uses artificial intelligence to “reimagine” your shots and also boasts how the phone has a “durable design”, whatever that means. Otherwise, it’s pretty similar, which is meant to be, since it’s going to be part of the same ad campaign.
