Google has traditionally presented its phones in the fall, specifically in October. This year, he decided to speed up the presentation a little – because it will take place a few months earlier, and together with the new Pixel 9, the flexible phone Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be presented. Google us even prematurely showed thehow the new puzzle will look like.
The new Google Pixel Fold revealed
The first generation of jigsaw puzzles from Google it already looked quite dated when it was released. The phone had quite wide frames around the display and one of the largest bends of all flexible phones on the market. The second generation should eliminate all these disadvantages.
The new fold should be much thinner and structurally more reminiscent of the Galaxy Fold from Samsung. Most likely, we will also see a larger 8-inch internal display. The external display has also grown to 6.29 inches. The new generation of Pixel Fold definitely looks much more modern than the first one. We’ll have to wait until August for real images and how big the flex in the display will be, for example.

Big changes in design, but small in cameras
Structurally, the second generation of Google’s puzzle will be very different, but as for the cameras, they will not change much. The phone should keep the same main 48MP sensor, 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, but the ultra wide-angle camera will get a slight upgrade. It will have a sensor with a resolution of 12 Mpx instead of the previous sensor with 10 Mpx. Both the internal and external display will have an integrated selfie camera with a resolution of 10 Mpx.
The battery capacity will increase from 4821 mAh to 5000 mAh, which is not much, but the new Pixel Fold will still have a larger battery than, for example, Galaxy Z Fold 6. Battery life could be a bit better as Google deploys a more modern Google Tensor G4 processor. The weight of the phone has not been mentioned in any leaks yet, but it will be quite a bit lower than the original Pixel Fold. With its weight of 283 grams, it was the heaviest folding phone on the market.
Availability
The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold will launch on August 13 alongside the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro phones. Google will probably make all phones more expensive this year, so the new jigsaw will have an astronomical price, and because of the higher price, it is uncertain whether the new jigsaw will be seen in the Czech Republic immediately upon release. The price will probably be at least around 50,000 crowns.
