Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nashir Uddin Nashir alleged that the interim government is not acknowledging the contribution of Chhatra Dal leaders and activists who were martyred in July-August.
He said that even the teachers who directly played a role in the July-August movement, including Dhaka University, were not given vice-chancellorship or important duties in big universities.
Chhatra Dal general secretary said this while giving a directive speech on building equality and humane society at the joint workshop of Juba Dal, Swachhasevak Dal and Chhatra Dal at Shariatpur Municipal Hall on Sunday afternoon.
The Chhatra Dal general secretary urged the interim government to evaluate those teachers who had given chests to save students from Hasina’s bullets.
Nashir said that among the more than 2,000 students who were martyred in the uprising, Martyr Mochad, Martyr Abu Saeed and Martyr Wasim are deeply remembered as iconic martyrs by the students of this country, but the interim government is not doing so. The textbook mentions the names of martyr Abu Saeed and martyr Mochad, but omits the name of martyr Wasim. Why was it omitted? Because he was the leader of Chhatra Dal.
President of Shariatpur District Jubo Dal, Arifuzzaman Mollah, President of Bangladesh Nationalist Jubo Dal, Abdul Monayem Munna, spoke as the chief guest. Nazmul Hasan, organizing secretary of the Central Volunteer Dal and central and district leaders of Central Youth Dal, Volunteer Dal, Chhatra Dal spoke as special guests.
Meanwhile, Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna said in the speech of the chief guest that the political structure has been destroyed by the Awami League fascism government. Fighting against them for the last 15 years has kept democracy alive. There is more movement ahead. The movement is not over yet. Everyone should come forward unitedly. Young people should come forward to build a beautiful Bangladesh and reject all corrupt people. Organizational action will be taken against those involved in unethical activities defaming the name of BNP.
