Grand Moment, Busan Forest Nature Learning Center Creation… Experience Nature in the City < Economy & Finance < Article

A forest nature learning center will be built near Hwangnyeongsan Mountain in Nam-gu, Busan. The forest nature learning center is a space where local children and youth can experience and interact with nature in the city through various operating programs.

Grand Moment Youth Hostel announced on the 26th that it will invest over 1 billion won in its forest site to create an experiential space where youth can camp and learn about constellations.

As the first step, we held a youth business advisory committee appointment ceremony at our youth hostel located in Nam-gu, Busan on the 24th.

The Youth Advisory Committee, consisting of six external experts including Park Yong-ha, Chairman of the Busan Youth Training Facility Association, Heo Il-soo (Secretary General of the Busan Youth Training Facility Association), Yang Wang-chang (Director of Arpina, Busan Urban Corporation), Park Su-yeong (Professor at Dongmyeong University), Kim Dae-soo (Manager of Geumnyeonsan Youth Training Center), and Jo Oe-geon (Manager of Lifelong Education Division, Nam-gu Office, Busan Metropolitan City), was appointed to effectively operate the largest youth hostel in the country.

It will also help Grand Moment Youth Hostel respond to the rapidly changing youth industry.

This forest nature learning center is also a major agenda item for the advisory committee. The initial budget of 1 billion won will also be additionally allocated based on the advisory committee’s judgment. The budget will be covered by revenue generated from the MICE (Mice: corporate meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions) business sector.

In Busan, youth businesses are facing many difficulties due to population decline. Grand Moment Youth Hostel has been promoting wedding and facility rental businesses to solve the economic difficulties of youth businesses. Through these MICE businesses, we are trying to create a structure that supports youth businesses and contributes to the local community.

Grand Moment CEO Kim Do-hwan emphasized, “Investing in the local community is something that someone must do.” He also said, “I will do my best to ensure that the MICE business is not viewed as neglecting youth business.”
