Marguerite Cole from Zambia, who is in her 80s, has accidentally become a social media style icon after agreeing to “play dress-up” with her granddaughter Diana Kaumba, who is a stylist in New York. For four weeks at the end of 2023, she captured the grandmother in various extravagant outfits in her natural rural environment and called this photo story Granny Series. Those are the sites she published Instagram in the profile Legendary Glammareports the media BBC. These pictures became very popular – the profile has more than 225 thousand followers, and it also attracted the interest of the world’s leading media. Kaumba says that with this project he wanted to show that even seniors can and should dress stylishly and modernly.
