The joy of Real Sociedad footballers after Sherald Becker’s goal, which decided the narrowest victory over Barcelona.
In Sunday’s match of the 13th round of La Liga, they lost to the home team Real Sociedad San Sebastian 0:1, when they did not even shoot at the opponent’s goal. The Catalans have a six-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the table, who have a game to spare.
Barcelona got the ball into the net in the 13th minute, but Robert Lewandowski’s goal was disallowed for offside. The home side decided on a narrow triumph 20 minutes later when they won the ball in the opponent’s half, Luka Sučič headed a pass to striker Sherald Becker, who took advantage of Pau Cubarsi’s slip and finished just inside the right post. San Sebastian claimed its fifth triumph of the season and jumped to eighth place.
Real Betis players drew 2:2 with Celta Vigo. Marc Bartra secured a point for the Sevillians in the 90th + 5th minute. Betis is sixth in the incomplete table, Celta is in 11th place.
Mallorca, with Slovakian goalkeeper Dominik Greif and defender Martin Valjento, lost to Atletico Madrid 0:1, Argentinean Julian Alvarez decided the guests’ triumph.
