STATE support in the Russian Arctic zone enabled the launch of as many as 1,000 projects in the domain of private investments worth 19.2 billion euros, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said today.
He pointed out that Russia is “implementing mechanisms to increase business activities and build the necessary infrastructure” in the mentioned zone, TASS reported.
– The largest free economic zone in the world and three territories of advanced development are currently in force there, and I am only talking about private investments – said the Russian Prime Minister.
Mishustin noted that the Arctic makes up more than a quarter of the entire territory of the country and about 2.5 million people live in it, so, as he added, it is therefore necessary to create a good environment for business and comfortable living conditions, in order to fully utilize the potential of that region.
