Greece – India – Egypt strengthen their military ties

Greece, India and Egypt coordinate their strategic steps, with the armed forces of the “trio” carrying out exercises aimed at deepening military ties as well. For a month, fighters and pilots from the three countries became one.

From Wednesday November 27 to Tuesday December 24, the 330th “Lightning” Squadron of the 111th Fighter Wing (111PM), from Anchialos Air Base, participated in the training exercise “Tactical Leadership Project” (TLP-8) of the Fighter Weapons School of Egyptian Air Force (EAF).

In this training activity, the PA participated with 3 F-16 Block-30 aircraft with similar Flying and Technical personnel, which were stationed at Cairo West Air Base, Egypt.

The 330 Squadron “KERAYNOS” is the first squadron with F-16 fighters established in Greece in 1989 and continues to this day to seal the blue and white ethers of the Aegean and promote our interests and alliances beyond the horizon.

Egypt’s TLP-8 was also attended by the Egyptian Air Force with all types of aircraft it has, India with Su-30MKI and Saudi Arabia with observers.

As it became known from the General Staff of Aviation, during the exercise combat training objects were performed, between different types of aircraft with complex operational scenarios of increasing difficulty and complexity. The goal was the development of a single operational doctrine and tactics, harmonized with modern developments that makes them capable of cooperating under different conditions.

It is recalled that Greece maintains strategic relations both with Egypt and India and with Saudi Arabia.
