Greek thrashers Suicidal Angels mid-March 2025 at Zappa Base

After ten years as part of the Eastern European turneje „Profanation“ Athenian thrash metallers Suicidal Angels they return to Belgrade, more precisely to Zappa Bazu in the organization Hangtime Agency. On that occasion, he will promote his latest album „Profane Prayer“ which saw the light of day at the beginning of March this year. This exceptional event for all fans of thrash ferocity will take place on Tuesday, March 11, so this date should definitely be marked with a wax crayon in your calendars or planners for the year 2025. The day before, also organized by Hangtime, the band will perform in Zagreb’s Močvara.

Early bird tickets at a price of 2100 dinars can be purchased through Gigstix and in the Katakombe bar (from November 8). The presale price of tickets is 2,500 dinars, while on the day of the concert they will cost 2,900 dinars.

Greek band Suicidal Angels emerged in 2001 with a sound based on classic ’80s thrash metal, particularly that of the Bay Area scene. Led by guitarist and vocalist Nick Melissourgosthe band’s founding member who has remained the band’s only permanent member since 2001, Suicidal Angels have been building an energetic, breakneck approach that has resulted in a string of critically acclaimed studio albums, with notable releases such as „Bloodbath“ (2012, NoiseArt) i „Years of Aggression“ (2019, NoiseArt). They were inspired by bands like Napalm Death, Celtic Frost and Slayer, Suicidal Angels.

The band released the demo “United by Hate” in 2002, followed by the EP “Bloodthirsty Humanity” in 2004. A four-track single appeared in 2006, paving the way for the first full-length album „Eternal Domination“ (2007, Old School Metal Records). By then, the band had expanded its fan base across Europe and started attracting attention abroad. In 2008, the band signed a contract with the major metal record label Nuclear Blast and began recording their second album “Sanctify the Darkness” (2009, Nuclear Blast). Now signed for NoiseArtwhich would release all future albums, for three years the band undertook an ambitious tour, performing at numerous festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Metalcamp, Sonisphere and Brutal Assault. During this period, they released their third and fourth albums, Dead Again (2010) and Bloodbath (2012), with the latter being their first chart-topping album.

The album “Divide and Conquer” (2014) achieved great success in the German charts, as well as “Division of Blood” from 2016. Their seventh album, “Years of Aggression”, was released in 2019 and found resonance with audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The band re-signed with Nuclear Blastom for their eighth album, Profane Prayer, which came out in 2024 and highlighted the band’s technical skills and ferocity.
