Grief in Corfu for the bus driver who was killed in a traffic accident

It has caused grief to Corfu the death of the 31-year-old bus driver in a traffic accident, when the vehicle he was driving fell for an unknown reason on Sunday (21/07) onto a parked truck.

“Have a good trip my heart, you will look down on your little angel…” an aunt of the unfortunate 31-year-old wrote in her heartbreaking farewell.

The traffic accident happened at around three o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday (21/07/2024) in Corfu in the Sgobo area, when the tourist bus driven by the 31-year-old man with 18 English passengers veered off its course and collided with a truck parked on a side street of the main road .

As a result of the severe impact, the driver lost his life, while three more people were injured. A British tourist and a mother with her child.

In fact, to free them, an entire operation had to be set up, since the front of the bus was wedged in the parked truck and it was difficult to free them.

The causes of the tragic accident are being investigated by the Corfu Traffic Investigation Department.
