Groupe Renault: revenue growing in the third quarter of 2024

Positive financial figures for the Renault Group In the third quarter of 2024. The official data were disclosed in the last few hours. Sifting through them, it emerges that in the months of July, August and September, the French automotive holding company achieved a turnover of 10.7 billion euros. An important value, which shows a growth of 1.8% compared to the same period of 2023. The progress emerges more in its intensity when compared at constant exchange rates: in this case the increase stood at 5.0 %.

With reference to the solo car branchturnover reached 9.3 billion euros, with a drop of 0.5% on the previous reading, but it is enough to remove the figure from the change in exchange rates to record a growth value of 2.6%. Shifting attention to the first 9 months of the year, Groupe Renault achieved a turnover of 37.7 billion euros. Positive figures prevail here too, with +0.8% compared to the same period in 2023 and +3.7% at constant exchange rates.

Restricting the focus to the automotive sector alone, which is still by far predominant, this produced a total turnover of 33.7 billion euros from the beginning of January to the end of September. The figure is down 1.5% compared to the same period in 2023, but at constant exchange rates the positive sign returns, with a +1.1%.

On a commercial level, the Renault brand positioned itself in third place in Europe and first place in France, gaining the top step of the continental podium in terms of light commercial vehicles. There Clio it ranks second among the best-selling cars in the Old Continent. Dacia ranks ninth in Europe on the car market. Alpine performed well, recording double-digit growth since the beginning of the year.

“Group Renault’s third quarter turnover – says the financial director Thierry Piéton – begins to benefit from our unprecedented product offensive, with the launch of 10 new vehicles this year, representing 18% of sales for the quarter. This trend will continue in the coming quarters, in line with the progressive introduction of vehicles on the respective markets and is destined to accelerate further thanks to the 7 launches planned for 2025.”
