Gunnebo announced the purchase of Primat

Sweden’s Gunnebo Safe Storage, a global supplier of certified solutions for physical security, has acquired the company Primat, one of the leading manufacturers of certified security equipment in Europe, with production in Serbia and Slovenia.

Thanks to production capacities in Serbia and Slovenia, after the integration process, Primat Group will become a key part of the European production of Gunnebo Safe Storage safes and cabinets. This leading manufacturer of innovative security equipment and services, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, has acquired a 100 percent stake in Primat Group.

For Primat Group, which has more than 120 years of tradition in the production and sale of high-quality safety equipment, the change in ownership brings more opportunities for further development and easier penetration into international markets, as well as greater investments, especially in production facilities in Serbia. As part of the acquisition, significant investments are intended to drive growth and develop the skills, tools and opportunities needed for employee success.

The Primat Group consists of PRIMAT SISTEMI doo and PRIMAT dd in Maribor (Slovenia), PRIMAT OPREMA doo in Baljevac (Serbia), and PRIMAT doo Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). With approximately 180 employees, the company serves clients in over 25 countries, with a strong market presence in the USA, Great Britain, the Benelux countries, as well as in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
