GZSZ offshoot launched: Why Jo Gerner remains true to his image

The 26-part live-action series “Uferpark – Good Times, Wild Times” tells the story of a clique of friends and the fight for an abandoned skate park – their opponent is known from Germany’s most successful RTL daily “Good Times, Bad Times”…

The backstory is quickly told: In the middle of Berlin, some teenagers take over an old skate park for themselves. But it doesn’t belong to you; it belongs equally to two siblings and a lawyer. Flo (played by Martin Bretschneider, “The Miracle of Bern”) and his sister Sandra had the dream of having their own skate park. But a terrible accident thwarted the plans. Since then he has lived as a self-sufficient person in an old bus in the middle of the Uferpark. Sandra (played by Andrea Cleven, “Everything that counts”), on the other hand, wants to do good business with the Uferpark. But to do this she has to convince her brother Flo to release the area for her plans. When he gets in the way, she and her old companion Jo Gerner don’t shy away from nasty tricks.

Wolfgang Bahro as “Jo Gerner” in action

With Wolfgang Bahro, Germany’s ultimate villain and the most prominent face from the GSZS cosmos was recruited for the production. After a leading role in Michael Verhoeven’s film “Seductions”, Bahro began acting training in 1980. He played in various theater and cabaret productions and worked as a musician and voice actor. Since 1993 (episode 185) he has played the lawyer Jo Gerner on the RTL series GZSZ, Germany’s daily number 1. He is now also taking on this role in the new series offshoot.

Now the skate park, a piece of property on the Spree, is to be sold at a high price to a real estate shark, but the group of teenagers is standing in the way.
