When the government cuts jobs in the state, at least half of the 1,000 man-years must be found in the capital.
That message comes from Finance Minister Nicolai Wammen (S) after opposition parties focus on the fact that the cuts are hitting the province hard.
“We find more than half of the 1,000 man-years in the Copenhagen area,” says Wammen.
“In addition, the largest cities in Denmark will also contribute a significant amount, so the main weight of the 1,000 state administrative man-years we need to find, they will be found in Copenhagen and the largest cities”.
In connection with the plan for the Finance Act for 2025, the government presented a plan for how to remove 1,000 full-time employees under the various ministries.
Many ministries have a number of workplaces around the country, and initially there was no clear distribution of how the job reductions were to be placed geographically.
