The entertainer Harald Schmidt was supposed to appear in the crime series “Tatort” – now he reveals why it never happened.

Actor and entertainer Harald Schmidt (67) is slandering the “Tatort”. When asked whether he watches the ARD crime series, he told the “Südwest Presse”: “No, because it is the stupidest thing there is.” At the “Crime scene“ everything is so predictable. “I am happy for the colleagues who are acting in it, although to be honest I wonder how anyone can live off a “Tatort” fee.

A few years ago, Harald Schmidt himself was in talks for a role in the Black Forest “Tatort”. He was supposed to play a senior detective. He even attended the press conference: “And then I suddenly realized: now my fun is over.” His role as police chief would have been to shuffle through the wet leaves in the Black Forest and say somewhere: “Any news from the Spusi?”, said Schmidt.

He resigned before he even started. “But I think I would have just been a nuisance anyway. They are very successful.”
