One of the jewels of the Samsung empire is Harman, which, in addition to controlling half a dozen well-known audio specialist companies, from JBL to AKG to Mark Levinson, is also making a bigger name for itself in the automotive industry than in networked systems, information an expert in technologies and driver support solutions.


Their newly presented novelties are predominantly based on the developments of the previous years – the Ready Display display technology, the Ready Care driver monitoring technology, and the Ready Upgrade control unit, which incorporates the on-board systems into an upgradeable unit.

An important development, for example, is that the Ready Care monitoring system, which measures the driver’s cognitive and visual load as well as breathing, has been connected to the climate control system of the supplier called Gentherm, thus making it possible to regulate personal heating depending on the driver’s level of attention, vigilance and stress level, and cooling.

Then there is Luna, an avatar based on the also newly developed Ready Engage artificial intelligence-based control system. On the one hand, the technology is able to carry out personalized, emotionally charged communication with passengers, and on the other hand, it can be freely expanded, so car manufacturers can develop their own technologies.

This is accompanied by developments in existing systems such as Ready Aware, which provides a two-way connection between the vehicle and the network and is able to predict expected traffic hazards, or the already mentioned Ready Display, which is the first in the automotive industry to do so (as early as 2025 ) the new HDR10+ image processing standard, which provides optimal image quality in all conditions.
